Jun 30, 2017 - This week, I address questions about movie metadata, repeated. Mac Pro in 2019, iPhone news and rumors, Swift Playgrounds: Macworld. Well, the same metadata system exists for all your quicktime movies, too, but until now the only way to access it was through the horrid interface of Quicktime Pro Player (You can see certain metadata items in QT's Info window, and add them in the Movie Properties window under Annotations).
If you build you own movie library in iTunes, then you want it to look perfect. Imagine having all of the information about a movie at hand - actors, release date, directors, overview etc. And of course you want nice looking cover arts for your library. MetaMovie brings all this to your movies. Just drop your movie files on the movie list, start the search and then you need but one click to bring all the Information to your movies.
The tagged movies look great in iTunes and on your Apple TV. MetaMovie supports the iTunes friendly.mp4 and.m4v file formats (MKV is not supported).
Search window now integrated in main window - full screen mode available - many new tags available in ID window - TMDb-genres alternatively to iTunes genres usable. Genrename also available as list of genre names - new option to hide predefined genre names in select box - new option to surppress the automatic replacement of underscores and dots in file name - improved extraction of title from filename via regular expressions - alternative formats (txt, chp, json) for the import of chapters - rating information can be included as part of a custom defined filename - if TMDb returns only one movie item, then MetaMovie switches to the cover selection automatically. 2.2.4 Feb 12, 2016. Fixed missing chapters on ATV4 - new option to delete additional cover pictures - new option to search for video files in folders recursively - new option to prevent MetaMove from overwriting the media type with 'Movie' automatically - additional selection of media type in ID-Window (in conjunction with the new option above only) - additional edit field in the ID-Window to allow sorting of files independently of the movie title e.g. For movie collections - special support of PLEX for local assets - tab view switches to search results tab after movie search has been finished - automatic replacement of underscores and dots in filenames to retrieve the movie title - new subtitle search menu entry - artists are listet in the album artists fields to allow actor selection in iTunes - some minor bug fixes.
2.2.2 Aug 26, 2015. Overwrite information with empty strings is now optional - pass through system language as language settings - dragging cover images to other apps - copy information from search window without cover allowed - increase cover zoom images - changed automatic chapter generation selection - changed logo Resolved Bugs: - language settings for e.g. Dk,da resolved - overwrite error with case insensitive filenames resolved - localization of error messages completed - localized help now depends on system language - issue with small cover sizes resolved. 1.2 Oct 18, 2012.
GoodRookie, Finally a great solutionEven ready for New Apple TV “What did he say” feature. After using a combination of programs to do the tasks that MetaMovie does so well, I am thrilled by the ease of getting the job done quickly.
I am using the new Apple TV and use the subtitle lookup now for all of my movies. The new Apple TV offers a new feature of “what did he say” which will go back and display subtitles. I can also load chapters with the blink of an eye.

I liked it so much, I bought the MetaTV as well and feel the same praise for it. This is truly the best investment in an app I have made to date and that is not even mentioning that they actually reply to support questions. Thanks and keep up the great work.
